FLANGE BAND PROTECTORS
The NEW Aegis System Kleerband Flange Protectors are the quick, easy and effective way to apply protection and prevent corrosion. Why try and protect flanges the old way when APS has the new, clear advantage to prevent corrosion? The Aegis System Kleerband Flange Protectors are manufactured of 100% virgin vinyl compound, which allows visual inspection of the flange surface without removing the flange protector.

Flange Protection Corrosion Test

Flange assembly #1 was plain and unprotected. Flange #2 was protected with a Kleerband® Flange Protector and Radolid® Nut Caps. Testing consisted of 500 hours ASTM B 117 salt fog exposure.

Flanges, the most common trouble area, need to be sealed properly to prevent leakage and must also be cathodically insulated to prevent stray currents which cause undo corrosion and eventual breakdown of the metal. Advance Products & Systems manufactures and maintains a supply of quality products and materials which help solve most flange sealing problems, therefore preventing subsequent corrosion and saving the integrity of the pipeline.

CORROSION COSTS MONEY
Advance Flange Protectors are designed to protect studs and gaskets on raised face and ring type joint flanges from atmospheric corrosion encountered in chemical plants, refineries, gas plants, offshore platforms, onshore oil fields, ships, paper mills and underground pipelines. Stainless steel or plastic models are available, in all sizes, for preventing corrosion between flanges on piping systems.

FLANGE PROTECTOR
Advance Flange Protectors and corrosion inhibitor grease are recommended on all insulated flanges. By encapsulating the flange cavity with the flange protector and injecting our corrosion inhibitor grease, you can rely on your cathodic protection system to provide you with years of trouble free service.

This system totally eliminates any possibility of foreign matter lodging between the faces of your flange or corrosion bridging across and creating a short. Advance Flange Protectors are manufactured of 22 gauge 304 or 316 stainless steel band, stainless steel worm-gear strap, and grease fitting. An exclusive positive loading relief vent and plug that assures complete loading of flange cavities, plus allows you to visually inspect the flange without removal of the protector, is standard. The gasket is made of 3/16" closed cell neoprene for positive seal. (Other gasket material available upon request.)

Typical cost to replace and repair this 12" ANSI 600# flange full face or RTJ gasket with nuts and bolts is $1,450.00.

ASP' Radolid® Protection Caps:

The quick, easy and cost effective way to apply nut and bolt protection.

Radolid® Protection Caps are used to eliminate corrosion of nuts and bolts, thus allowing quick removal when necessary. These caps are easily installed, pressing on to the bolted joint by hand. The barbed edge snaps in plce, preventing the caps from accidentally being removed.

Manufactured of high density black or white UV-resistant polyethylene, these caps are usable and will keep nuts and bolts corrosion free for years.

(APS recomends loading one quarter of the cap with APS high melt corrosion inhibitor grease for added protection.)
